NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GENDER EQUALITY

 

FIDA Kenya is a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) that was appointed by the Attorney General with the mandate of developing a viable formula for realization of the Two Thirds Gender Principle. The TWG concluded its work and proposed its preferred formula. There are however, several proposed formula by some members of parliament, institutions and individuals setting the country into a state of ambiguity as to the best option to realize 2/3rd Gender Principle.

 

FIDA Kenya invites the public to a national conference on Gender Equality themed “Gender Equality in Leadership: inclusion, representation and substantive participation of women in appointive and elective positions in Kenya.”

The conference brings together different stakeholders to a discourse on how far Kenya is in integrating Gender Equality
